DESIGN APPROACH

When Bimal and Nimmi approached us, CS Interiors was still a single-person office, making this project one of our most memorable early milestones. What made it special was the couple’s unwavering trust — and Bimal’s background in lighting (as part of LUKER) meant he was open to experimentation and new ideas, giving us the freedom to explore design in bold and creative ways.

The design brief centered around making the kids’ room the heart of the home, while weaving lighting in as a central design feature rather than just a utility. We integrated track lighting systems and magnetic track alignments, using light to sculpt spaces and enhance moods across the house.

The living room doubled as a home theater, but unlike typical closed-off spaces, we created an acoustic, multifunctional open layout.

This unique design provided a full theater experience while still keeping the space connected to the rest of the home.

Playful bursts of floral patterns tied the interiors together, while each bedroom carried its own distinct identity. The master bedroom was anchored by a calming blue wallpaper — a designer’s personal favorite. The guest bedroom broke new ground with a bold black wardrobe, softened by mustard tones for a balanced, contemporary look.

The result was a creative, experimental, and functional home where lighting and design merged seamlessly — a true reflection of the clients’ openness and our shared belief in pushing boundaries to create something extraordinary.
